Teddy Dorsette III is a social entrepreneur, disability advocate, and candidate for the Michigan State House of Representatives, based in Detroit, Michigan, with over 20 years of experience in public service. As a member of the Deaf generation, he leverages his lived experiences to advance inclusion, equity, disability justice, and anti-ableism for Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, DeafBlind, and disabled communities. Teddy previously ran as a write-in candidate for Detroit City Council in 2025 and has developed strong relationships with legislators and leaders while leading initiatives to improve communication equity and empower individuals through collaborative work across government agencies and organizations. He is passionate about fostering understanding, innovation, and meaningful change, and brings a wealth of practical knowledge to this session.
